All of my novels are now out as new editions, with my real name on the cover
And most of them have all-new material, details below!
Holy shit! New, special paperback editions of all of my novels, most of them containing BRAND NEW MATERIAL, are out now. These are the first editions published with my real name on the cover rather than the David Wong pseudonym (more on that here). Below I've detailed exactly what is in each, with handy order links:
Zoey Punches the Future in the Dick
"Zoey Ashe surveyed the carnage and said, 'Sorry we’re late, it was my cat’s birthday.'
The man who greeted her on the sidewalk was named Hank Kowalski. He was bald and had the eyes of a man whose favorite joke is just a shrieking child falling down a flight of stairs."
My most recent book is out in paperback and, at the end, contains a free preview of my next novel, If This Book Exists, You're in the Wrong Universe, which is the next one in the John and Dave series. Zoey Punches the Future in the Dick is the second novel in the Zoey Ashe series but you can start with it, if you like. No book of mine requires you to have read the previous ones, you can jump in wherever. Get Zoey Punches the Future in the Dick at Amazon, Barnes and Noble or Bookshop.
Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits
"If Zoey Ashe had known she was being stalked by a man who intended to kill her and then slowly eat her bones, she would have worried more about that and less about getting her cat off the roof."
The first book in the Zoey Ashe series, now with an Afterword about why this is my favorite book I've written, what inspired me to write it and why people think the character Arthur Livingston is Donald Trump (he's not!). Get it at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Bookshop.
What the Hell Did I Just Read
"It rained like we were a splatter of bird shit God was trying to hose off his deck. The three of us ripped through the downpour in a beige 1996 Saturn Coupe, me at the wheel."
We're going to take the John and Dave books in reverse order. What the Hell Did I Just Read is the most recent (Book 3) but, again, you can just start here if you want and probably won't be any more confused than if you’d read the previous two. The new edition includes an Afterword about why this is my favorite book I've written and what inspired me to write it, etc. How could the thought process of someone who writes a book like this not be fascinating? Or at least kind of weird, right? Get it: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Bookshop.
This Book is Full of Spiders
"You know how sometimes when you're drifting off to sleep you feel that jolt, like you were falling and caught yourself at the last second? It's nothing to be concerned about, it's usually just the parasite adjusting its grip."
My New York Times bestseller and probably fans' most beloved novel. This is Book 2 in the John and Dave series and now contains a brand new Afterword about why this is my favorite book I've written and what inspired me to write it, including the backstory behind Dunbar's Number: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Bookshop.
John Dies at the End
"Solving the following riddle will reveal the awful secret behind the universe, assuming you do not go utterly mad in the attempt. If you already happen to know the awful secret behind the universe, feel free to skip ahead."
The book that made my writing career and became a feature film (which is now free on Amazon Prime, btw). The "Jason Pargin" cover edition doesn't contain any new material BUT that's only because we added a ton of stuff for the 10th Anniversary Special Edition (that’s the white cover with the black skull, above) including Afterwords from each of the main characters reflecting on the events ten years down the line, plus one from me, as the author: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Bookshop.
The next book is out in fall of next year, after that, who knows? There are lots of ways to keep up with me:
